Launched: Bella Luna on Substack
Tarot and spirituality section to replace Tarot Tuesday on my website
Bella Luna is a section on my Substack Room with a Door where I write about uncommon interpretations and unsolicited opinions about the universe, spirituality and the journey to awakened consciousness. I am also interested in metaphysics, neuroscience, the subconscious mind, tarot and oracle cards, numerology and astrology, among other, related topics.
The other section on my Substack is called Rooted in Words where I write about non-spirituality topics.
Prelude of my tarot journey
Sometime around the middle of the pandemic I discovered tarot cards and found them to be endlessly fascinating. Their meaning was lost on me, but I liked the art, and that was before I stumbled across the many diverse and delightful representations of the original drawings in the traditional Rider-Waite deck.
I was fascinated and a little bit afraid by the promise of deeper clarity or intuitive wisdom. I recalled a time when my friend and colleague wanted to pop into a psychic shop and I refused to enter.
I had no idea what tarot cards were or what they meant, and asking a person who described themselves a psychic, or a fortune teller, freaked me out.
Did I want some stranger tell me my future? I bowed out and waited on the sidewalk for my friend.
Fast forward to the pandemic years and suddenly, I found myself endlessly intrigued by tarot and oracle cards, and all the metaphysical chattels (crystals, candles, birch bark) which typically accompany people who read tarot cards.
Libra, Cancer and Master Number 11
Sun and moon signs
Meanwhile, I discovered a few intriguing skills and talents I did not know I possessed. For instance, I knew my sun sign was Libra which is represented by the scales. But I didnโt know what my moon sign was or even that such a thing existed. I didnโt know that the placement of planets in the solar system may influence some of my characteristics or personalities (or behaviours...).
Nor did I know we all have a Life Path number.
Life path numbers
The Life Path number was another source of great surprise. Once I understood what it meant and how to calculate it, I was pleasantly surprised to discover I was a Master Number 11.
Soon after, I connected some metaphysical dots which inevitably led to my intrigue of all things metaphysical, which includes tarot and oracle cards. As I played around with the cards, I gained deeper clarity into the spiritual realm, and I learned how to share my newfound knowledge by writing about these topics.
I knew there was something I needed to do to activate my intuition, or at least stop ignoring my inner voice, and the tarot and oracle cards helped me to explore beyond the Third Dimension.
After I began to read tarot cards in earnest, I set up a tarot table in my Room with a Door at my momโs house.
My tarot table is where I connect with my innermost thoughts and attempt to deepen my understanding how external circumstances affect my inner peace.
Iโve been practicing my newfound skill for about three years now and occasionally read for other people. Stay tuned; I will be writing about my clairvoyance in upcoming posts here on Substack.
Tarot Tuesday on my blog
Being the wordy gal I am I had to write about my journey into tarot and the spiritual realm, so I began a semi-regular feature on my personal blog called Tarot Tuesday. Sadly, most of the content is no longer active on that blog due to a WordPress glitch or crash, but there are some recent posts which are still available, including these:
I decided, however, to stop Tarot Tuesday and migrate to Substack. This is where Bella Luna comes in.
What to expect in Bella Luna
Everything about the spiritual realm interests me. The tarot cards are just one aspect. Writing on these and related topics and keeping them all grouped together in this section will help me to stay organized.
Instead of randomly blogging about these topics on WordPress, Iโm now writing about them here in Bella Luna. If you enjoyed Tarot Tuesday on my blog, I invite you to subscribe to my Substack and be notified whenever I post here.
A note about the name Bella Luna
I adore the movie Moonstruck. Enough said. ;)
Thank you for reading my post in Room with a Door - Bella Luna edition. If you enjoy my content, remember to subscribe! Thank you in advance.
Signing up! I pull a card every day, have for a long time.
