End of Year Update

What's been happening, what's coming up

Hello readers and subscribers, it’s been a while. Thank you for your patience.

Don’t worry, I’m not abandoning ship here, but I am redesigning and reinventing my writing on Substack.

While I work on making exciting changes to my writing life, I hereby invite you to check out some of the projects which have kept me busy. There is plenty to read, so sit back and click some links.

Additionally, I returned to my abandoned YouTube channel and redesigned it and started some serious vlogging. Have a look, and let me know what you think!

I have plans in the works I will write about, starting with a She Shed (Bunkie) which has been manifested by yours truly (see below). That’s probably the most exciting news, and I have a multitude of content already written or video-taped which needs some serious editing.

I’ve also written and self-published a short non-fiction ebook called Healing from the Inside Out (see below). I have two other non-fiction books in various stages of final edits. There is more to come, stay tuned.

Blog reading

I occasionally go to my blog and write some unfiltered content for my writing tribe. In fact, some of them reached out to me via various social chat apps and asked why I’ve been so uncharacteristically quiet lately.

Sorry! I’ve not been quiet at all, I’ve just been on a steep learning curve with the YouTube channel, some graphic design projects which take up a lot of time but are such fun to create, plus I’ve dealt with a number of family situations and beagle shenanigans. I’m still writing, I just haven’t published everything (yet).

YouTube channel

I pre-schedule various short and longer videos to help me take breaks away from the laptop. Filming and editing is fun and engaging for me, but it is very time-consuming. I recently came up with some strategies to streamline video content more efficiently; for instance, the Tucker shenanigans in the Tucker the Beagle playlist are now posted mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The She Shed (Bunkie) story

Vlogging about the She Shed (Bunkie) started here, and will continue in the new year. In my region of Canada, we are currently in winter and there is snow on the ground, so the arrival of the Bunkie has been postponed until Spring. I’m ok with that since I am currently spending a lot of time in Oakville in my coveted Room with a Door at my mom’s house, but stay tuned for updates about the Bunkie.

Here’s the YouTube video where I first mentioned the Bunkie.

Below is a picture of me in the showroom Bunkie which I ordered. We drove to Rockwood, Ontario (near Guelph and Acton) and received a fantastic tour at BunkieLife. When I sat in my Bunkie, I felt like a dream had finally, after all these years, come true. Isn’t it amazing that such a tiny cabin can look so roomie?

I can’t wait to move in.

Book writing and self-publishing

I deleted a bunch of old, outdated books I wrote back in the day when I filled my head with topics which no longer interest me. I added a new ebook which you can check out below.
